Mobile Messaging App From FacebookFacebook launched mobile messaging application Tuesday, for Apple’s iPhone and android devices.

The app enables you to send messages to your Facebook buddies as well as to anyone in your device’s contact list. The messenger can be used for sending text messages, instant messages and emails.

This facebook application has the capability of photo and location sharing. Facebook engineer Lucy Zhang highlighted this feature in her blog post.

“If you choose to add your location, the people you’re messaging with can easily find each other on the map, Zhang said. “You can also attach photos, so everyone else can see and comment on what you’re looking at.”

Lucy Zhang was a co founder of Beluga, acquired by Facebook this march. Beluga was startup founded by former Google employees for allowing group messaging services to user. The application supports bulk messaging services which will decrease your efforts convincingly if you just want to call your friends for a party tonight.

Talking about the same feature she said, “When you’re on the go, coordinating a bunch of people can be tricky, especially if plans change at the last minute”. “With Messenger, you can quickly start a group conversation and message everyone at once, ” Lucy Added.
